we are at the 9 week mark and moving right along. Yesterdays certificate awards were well deserved and the "ceremony" went over well. Students dont forget to work as unto the Lord, we are watching you and you may yet receive a certificate.
Dont forget if you would like to contribute to the missions to Jordan project, get your new or used coats, blankets, sweatshirts, shoes, or socks (new only) in good condition to Julie by Sunday. This is an awesome cause and it will be a blessing to contribute. Remember, according to our Lord, it is better to give than to receive. And in giving to those in need, we are essentially giving to the Lord.
On another note, changes are definitely in store for our nation with the re-election of President Obama. Please remember that the Lord commanded us as believers to pray for our nation, and our leaders. Also, He commanded us to humble ourselves and pray, seeking His face for the healing of our nation. It is past time for revival, we should be diligently praying for mercy, healing, revival, and a return to Christ for our nation. It is our highest calling next to sharing the gospel and making disciples of men. If you do nothing else with dilligence and excellence this year, do pray. Pray as if your very life depended on it because it does. I dont want to sound like an alarmist and frighten anyone, but I do want to alarm us to the fact, that if we had been in our rightful place of prayer, fasting and sharing the gospel, if we were even as concerned with spiritual things as we are with setting our DVR's to record our favorite tv show, or seeing the latest great flick or buying the latest iphone or other great device, we would not be seeing the falling away and deception of the hearts of man the way we are blatantly seeing it today. Obamas campaign motto was "change", let us by our prayer, fasting and evangelizing be the ones who brings the change that matters. I propose that we set a day each week, as part of the body of believers, to pray and fast on behalf of our nation. Who's with me?
