Hello C3 families,
It was great to be back yesterday, although most of you were back last week.  Continue to be prayerful for Josh Bethea so that he can heal quickly and return to co-op and life as usual, healthier than ever.  Happy Birthday again to King Charles Simpson.  We hope your week is very blessed.

We talked about attending a field trip together possibly on Friday the 25th to Old Town San Diego for the segment of the California gold rush that the middle school students are currently doing.  Please remember to bring your funds this coming Tuesday to give to Shawn for the field trip.  The details of the field trip are as follows:

Old Town Field Trip Information

Cost:$6 per person for the Footsteps Through Time tour

It will be loads of fun to be somewhere together besides co-op on Tuesday.  Also, when the high school students are on Unit 20 which should be in 4 weeks, we talked about taking a field trip to see "Les Miserables" instead of reading "The Scarlett Pimpernell" and writing a paper on the movie.  I'm considering requiring or giving a treat to those who read the book "Les Miserables" before we see the movie.  Maybe I will take those who read it to "In & Out" or out for pizza.  I only have 5 students in my class and I suspect that only 3 or 4 will opt to read the book. Anyone who would like to join us for the movie is welcome to do so.  We will hopefully be able to see it at Ultra Star theater in Chula Vista.  They play movies that are no longer in  the theaters but recently was for a very discounted price of $4 - 7.

Good Morning C3 families.
Sorry for the long delay in posting this week but I have had a few challenges as you know as well as being busier than I've been in a long time.  I heard that all went very well and quite smoothly on Tuesday.  That is a blessing to hear.  Thanks to all the ladies who stepped up to teach in my absence and thanks to Shirley who has taken on the teaching of Economics.  As I'm sure you all know, the Vannoys will not be returning to co-op this year, and while we will miss them, it is certainly understandable.  Also, as well as Joshua Bethea's surgery going great, as you've heard, Tracie reported yesterday that he sat in a chair and took his first steps  only 2 days after surgery!  Praise God for His faithfulness and for His healing power.  Kuddos to Isaiah, Louise and Nathaniel for getting their literature reading completely done over the holiday, Im proud of you all!
