Hello C3 families,
we successfully completed week 6 of co-op. Wow, what great presentations we are getting out of the students. Im so impressed with the topics, the preparedness of the students, and even the speaking technique, especially for those who are in their first year of this.
The moms talked about altering the reward system to use another type of reward other than candy or no reward at all. Please email me with your preferences so that Shawn and I can make the final decision. Also, please check your calendars and let me know if December 12th from 4:30 - 7:00 will work out for you for an end of the semester open house. We can talk about the details of the evening further once we get a date down in stone. We will probably need to have another lunch meeting next week to discuss decisions made about reward system and open house details.
Mom instructors please let me know in the future if you have any praiseworthy class circumstances about any of your students from class day so that I can post it for the week.
This week in World History, we took our first pop quiz. I think we need a little more studying but I am proud to report that Jake Nacar secured a 90% on the quiz. Way to go Jake! Not to say that their aren't other stars in the class. I know that there are others who are faithfully reading, doing the vocab, and answering the emailed questions each week they just need to work on retaining the information.

World History- Please ensure that your student does the reading in Hittite Warrior this week. Read Unit 7 lessons 31-35 Review chapter questions (emailed). Be prepared for a test on ch. 6 & 7. I will not email chapter questions as usual, in order that you can study for the test. Test will be mostly multiple choice with a couple of essay questions. You will only need to answer these in 1-3 sentences.
World Literature- Complete the essay we began in class yesterday. Please be prepared to read your essay to the class next week. Read remaining chapters of Hittite Warrior, complete vocabulary, and review questions emailed to you. Be prepared for a brief vocabulary quiz.
